Community Guidelines

A place worth remembering begins with how we treat one another.

A Place Worth Remembering Begins With How We Treat One Another

& Kleos was created for thoughtful invitations, warm tables, meaningful conversations, and real moments shared around the city.

Every person who enters the & Kleos community contributes to its atmosphere. We ask you to bring the same qualities you would hope to encounter in others: honesty, consideration, discretion, curiosity, and respect.

These Community Guidelines explain the standards expected whenever you use & Kleos—whether you are creating an Invite, requesting to join one, speaking through chat, attending a Meetup, or sharing a memory afterward.

They apply both to conduct within the Service and to conduct connected to an interaction arranged through & Kleos.

By using & Kleos, you agree to follow these Guidelines, our Terms and Conditions, and our Privacy Policy.

Be Intentional

& Kleos is built for real social plans, not empty engagement.

Create Invites you genuinely intend to honour. Describe the purpose, time, and location accurately. Respond thoughtfully when plans change, and communicate as early as reasonably possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Do not:

  • Create fake, deceptive, or misleading Invites.
  • Pretend that a Meetup occurred when it did not.
  • Misrepresent the purpose of an Invite.
  • Accept people you have no intention of meeting.
  • Use repeated cancellations or no-shows to manipulate, embarrass, or inconvenience others.
  • Use Invites merely to collect followers, messages, photographs, contact details, or attention.

Plans sometimes change. A cancellation is not, by itself, a violation of these Guidelines. How you handle it matters.

Treat People With Dignity

Every person on & Kleos must be treated with basic dignity, regardless of whether an invitation is accepted, declined, ignored, changed, or cancelled.

We do not allow:

  • Harassment, bullying, humiliation, intimidation, or threats.
  • Hate speech, slurs, or degrading statements.
  • Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or another protected characteristic.
  • Stalking, surveillance, tracking, or attempts to monitor another person.
  • Repeated unwanted contact.
  • Retaliation or harassment after rejection.
  • Public shaming, revenge posting, exposure, or doxxing.
  • Content that encourages violence, self-harm, exploitation, or illegal conduct.

You are not entitled to another person’s time, attention, acceptance, explanation, photograph, contact details, affection, or continued communication.

A decline is an answer. Silence is not permission to continue indefinitely. When someone asks you to stop, stop.

Be Honest About Who You Are

Use authentic and accurate information when creating your account and interacting with others.

Do not:

  • Impersonate another person.
  • Use another person’s photographs without permission.
  • Falsely claim an affiliation, title, profession, status, or connection.
  • Misrepresent your identity, age, location, intentions, availability, or the purpose of an Invite.
  • Create additional accounts to avoid a block, restriction, suspension, or ban.
  • Use misleading usernames, profile information, Invites, or Proof Posts.

All users must be at least 18 years old. Accounts belonging to or operated for people under 18 are not permitted.

Any content that exploits, endangers, abuses, or sexualizes minors is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Keep & Kleos Social, Not Transactional

& Kleos is a social invitation platform. It is not a dating service, escort service, adult platform, or marketplace for transactional intimacy.

Do not use & Kleos to solicit, arrange, request, advertise, or facilitate:

  • Sexual services or explicit sexual encounters.
  • Escort services or prostitution.
  • Sugar dating or compensated companionship.
  • Transactional intimacy.
  • Pornographic or sexually explicit content.
  • Human trafficking or exploitation.
  • Any unlawful, coercive, or unsafe activity.

People may naturally form friendships, collaborations, relationships, or other connections through real-life encounters. These Guidelines do not prohibit authentic human connection. They prohibit using the platform to solicit sexual or compensated arrangements or to mislead others about your intentions.

Create Invites With Care

An Invite should clearly communicate what another person is agreeing to consider.

When hosting, provide accurate information about:

  • The date and time.
  • The venue or meeting area.
  • The general nature of the gathering.
  • Any relevant costs, reservations, tickets, or expectations.
  • Material changes to the original plan.

Do not use an Invite to:

  • Lure someone to a different or undisclosed location.
  • Conceal a commercial, romantic, sexual, political, fundraising, recruitment, or promotional purpose.
  • Advertise unrelated businesses, events, products, services, groups, or platforms without permission from & Kleos.
  • Pressure users to attend.
  • Target, expose, shame, or monitor another person.
  • Coordinate harmful or illegal conduct.

Hosts may accept or decline Requests at their discretion. A Host is not required to provide a reason for declining, and Guests must not retaliate against a Host for doing so.

Communicate With Consideration

Chats on & Kleos are intended to help people coordinate genuine social plans and communicate around accepted Invites.

Do not send:

  • Threatening, abusive, degrading, or harassing messages.
  • Unsolicited sexual or explicit content.
  • Spam, scams, phishing attempts, malware, or suspicious links.
  • Repeated messages to someone who has not responded or has asked you to stop.
  • Manipulative requests for money, gifts, documents, passwords, financial assistance, or sensitive information.
  • Messages intended to coordinate illegal, exploitative, sexual, violent, or harmful activity.
  • Pressure to move to an external platform for a prohibited or unsafe purpose.

Do not evade a block by contacting someone through another account, another Invite, a third party, or an external platform.

Messages and related information may be reviewed where reasonably necessary to respond to reports, protect users, prevent fraud, enforce our policies, or comply with legal obligations.

Share Photos and Memories Respectfully

Proof Posts are intended to preserve genuine social moments—not to prove access to another person or turn a private encounter into public content without permission.

Before posting a photograph or memory involving another person, make sure you have their permission or another lawful basis to share it.

Do not upload content that:

  • Includes someone who did not agree to be photographed or posted.
  • Exposes, embarrasses, humiliates, sexualizes, threatens, or harms another person.
  • Shows someone in a private, intimate, sensitive, or vulnerable situation without consent.
  • Is fake, manipulated, misleading, or falsely suggests that a Meetup occurred.
  • Contains nudity, pornography, graphic violence, or illegal material.
  • Reveals private addresses, identification documents, financial details, confidential information, or sensitive records.
  • Infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
  • Exploits, endangers, or sexualizes a minor.

Permission to take a photograph is not automatically permission to publish it. Ask before sharing.

Protect Privacy—Yours and Theirs

Choose carefully what you place in your profile, Invites, messages, and Proof Posts.

Information shared in public or semi-public areas may be visible to other users. Do not post information you would not want others to see, save, photograph, or share.

Never publish or distribute another person’s:

  • Private home address.
  • Phone number or personal email address.
  • Government identification.
  • Financial or payment information.
  • Workplace or precise daily routine.
  • Travel details.
  • Medical or other sensitive information.
  • Private messages or photographs.
  • Personal documents or confidential records.

Avoid placing private residential addresses in Public Invites. For first Meetups, use recognised public venues whenever possible.

Meet With Care

Real-life meetings require personal judgment. & Kleos connects people and plans, but it does not supervise Meetups, operate venues, conduct comprehensive background checks, or guarantee the identity, intentions, conduct, or safety of any user.

We strongly encourage you to:

  • Meet in a public, well-lit place, particularly for a first Meetup.
  • Verify the venue and plan before attending.
  • Tell someone you trust where you are going.
  • Arrange your own transportation.
  • Keep your phone charged and accessible.
  • Avoid sharing a private address with someone you do not know.
  • Keep drinks and belongings within your control.
  • Discuss costs or reservations clearly in advance.
  • Leave immediately if a situation feels uncomfortable, misleading, or unsafe.
  • Report concerning conduct through & Kleos.

A profile, badge, email verification, phone verification, or other platform feature should never be treated as a guarantee that someone is safe or trustworthy.

Trust your judgment. You never need permission from a Host, Guest, venue, or & Kleos to leave an uncomfortable situation.

No Scams, Exploitation, or Financial Pressure

Do not use & Kleos to deceive, manipulate, or financially exploit another person.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Asking for money through a false or misleading story.
  • Pressuring someone to pay for travel, reservations, gifts, bills, or personal expenses.
  • Phishing or requesting passwords, verification codes, banking details, or identity documents.
  • Promoting fraudulent investments, employment opportunities, charities, schemes, or offers.
  • Using payment disputes as a reason to threaten, expose, or harass someone.
  • Offering or seeking illegal or regulated goods or services.
  • Using & Kleos as an unauthorised commercial marketplace.

Unless an official & Kleos payment feature states otherwise, expenses connected to Meetups are handled directly between the people and venues involved. Discuss expectations clearly and never use pressure or deception.

Do Not Misuse the Platform

Do not attempt to compromise the Service or interfere with other users’ ability to enjoy it.

This includes:

  • Using bots, crawlers, scrapers, automated accounts, or unauthorised scripts.
  • Harvesting user information.
  • Attempting to bypass blocks, moderation tools, security controls, or feature limitations.
  • Uploading malware or harmful code.
  • Hacking, disrupting, overloading, or reverse engineering the Service.
  • Manipulating Invite visibility, Requests, Proof Posts, rankings, or activity.
  • Testing vulnerabilities without written permission.
  • Using another person’s account or credentials.

Report What Does Not Belong Here

When something feels unsafe or violates these Guidelines, use the reporting tools available in the Service. You may also contact:

connect@andkleos.io

When submitting a report, include enough information for us to understand and review the concern. This may include the relevant username, Invite, message, Proof Post, approximate date, screenshots, or a description of what occurred.

Do not submit knowingly false, misleading, retaliatory, or abusive reports.

Reporting a user does not automatically mean that a violation occurred. We review the information available and determine what action, if any, is appropriate.

We may not be able to share the details or outcome of a moderation decision.

Block When You Need Distance

Blocking is available to help reduce unwanted interaction.

Depending on the features available, blocking may limit another user’s ability to:

  • Message you.
  • Request your Invites.
  • View parts of your profile or activity.
  • Interact with you through the Service.

Blocking is a personal boundary. Do not create another account or use another person to contact someone who has blocked you.

Blocking does not replace contacting local authorities or emergency services when there is an immediate threat.

How We Enforce These Guidelines

We may use reports, manual review, automated systems, keyword filters, image review, moderation tools, and other reasonable methods to identify content or conduct that may violate these Guidelines.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

  • Remove content.
  • Hide or limit an Invite.
  • Restrict account or content visibility.
  • Disable messaging or other features.
  • Issue a warning.
  • Temporarily suspend an account.
  • Permanently terminate an account.
  • Preserve relevant records for safety, fraud-prevention, legal, or enforcement purposes.
  • Refer conduct to law enforcement or another appropriate authority where required or appropriate.

We consider factors such as the nature and severity of the conduct, the risk posed to others, available context, previous violations, and applicable legal or platform requirements.

We may act against content or conduct that seriously harms user safety or the intended atmosphere of & Kleos even when that conduct is not expressly listed in these Guidelines.

No moderation or filtering system can identify every harmful interaction. The absence of enforcement does not mean that conduct is approved or permitted.

Immediate Danger and Emergencies

& Kleos is not an emergency service. Reports, emails, and support requests may not be reviewed immediately.

If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger, leave the situation if you can do so safely and contact local emergency services or law enforcement immediately.

After addressing the immediate danger, you may also report the account or interaction to & Kleos so that we can consider appropriate platform action.

These Guidelines May Evolve

As & Kleos grows, we may update these Community Guidelines to address new features, safety considerations, legal requirements, or changes in how the community uses the Service.

Material updates may be communicated through the Service, by email, through a website notice, or by another reasonable method.

Your continued use of & Kleos after updated Guidelines become effective means that you agree to follow them.

The Standard We Share

& Kleos is built around a simple belief: a meaningful encounter begins before anyone reaches the table.

It begins with an honest invitation.

It continues through consideration, consent, and presence.

And it becomes worth remembering when every person involved is treated with dignity.

Invite thoughtfully. Meet carefully. Share respectfully.
